Signage will play a big role in your big day…
They not only have a function but they add a ton of beauty and ambiance! It’s a great opportunity to let your personalities shine and bring in your event colors and styling. While that’s the fun part, the “how” is important, too. I have a very simple process that begins with an Inquiry. I’ll put together a proposal and once we’ve agreed on what to move forward with, my design process is very simple.
The Sign Design Process:
Confirm your project with a signed Contract and Retainer. Your due dates and pickup or shipping dates are listed on the Contract for quick reference.
About a month prior to your event, my system will send a Questionnaire Form. This is where you share the special details for your signs. This can be anything from the actual guest list, drink recipes, pup photos for illustrations, inspiration images, other decor you’re using, a photo of your invitation (super helpful), and more. This form is usually due in one week.
I will begin designing your pieces as soon as I receive that Questionnaire Form. Most Signage projects are too quick a turnaround to give time for proofs, but rest assured I will take into account everything we’ve previously gone over and will pore over the details you’ve shared to ensure they are a perfect complement.
Once your project is complete and safely packaged up, I will email you with pickup (or shipping) information — and that’s it!
Now that you have an idea of how it works, here’s a tiny handful of inspiration images for types of signs we can create…
Mirrors
Mirrors add a bit of glamour or vintage qualities to your event. We recommend using these for indoor venues to avoid bright sun reflections or just place them in the shade for outdoor events. We letter on both Client-owned mirrors or Rentals. For info on our local favorites — Chippy White Table Mirrors
Acrylic
The chameleon of signs, acrylic offers so many options. Here’s a few examples of black, white, frosted, and and clear acrylic signs.
Painted Acrylic
Acrylic but with SPICE. We custom mix each paint color to coordinate with your event. The backs of our signs are then handpainted with a brushed-edge finish, edge-to-edge, or even in a multi-colored design.
Unique Signs
The limit does not exist to what we can make a sign out of! Here’s examples using paper, wood, window panes, and more elaborate examples that involve a few different materials.
