Hi, nice to meet you!
I’m Abbey Gillette, the self-taught calligrapher and school-taught designer behind StoneFawx Studios, my Eastern Pennsylvania-based design studio. I specialize in calligraphy, wedding invitations, and custom gifts to elevate the special events in your life. And yes — this is my full time job so I go to work at my dream job all day, every day, thanks to my incredible clients.
With a lifelong passion for art, I obtained a B.S. in Graphic Design + Art History from Philadelphia University/Thomas Jefferson University. I’m a longtime member of AIGA (The American Institute of Graphic Arts) and IAMPETH (The International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting). I also regularly engage in continuing education courses throughout the year by attending conferences, summits, classes, and webinars. Never stop learning!
My favorite part of the wedding design process is incorporating chic, unique design that resonate with each couple. I love(!) to be inspired by your favorite things, like a wine trip to Napa, his obsession with skiing the Colorado mountains, or how much you both are obsessed with the Office (aren’t we all?).
Beyond hoarding paper samples, visiting art museums, and critiquing letter kerning, I live with my husband outside of Scranton with two Chihuahuas and two cats. It has been reported that we are working on a small petting zoo (but I can only wish that rumor were true). We also enjoy concerts, funfetti cupcakes, cooking, and playing video games. Speaking of video games… the name “StoneFawx” originated from my video game alias by way of the book, “The Virgin Suicides.” Boring and nerdy, I know. Please don’t give me a wedgie.

• I never had dreams of owning my own business and now I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
